Reptile & Amphibian Center of the Rockies (RACR) is a Northern Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused specifically on reptiles and amphibians, with three intertwined areas: rescue/rehabilitation, education, and conservation. It was first created in 2015 as the Northern Colorado Herpetological Society, became a nonprofit in 2017, added a foster-based rescue program in 2020, and later changed its name as the operation expanded beyond being a herpetology society.
